September is going to be "dessert month" here on the weekly recipe drop! Every Friday this month a new dessert recipe will land in your inbox! Yahhh! We can kick off the weekends together with a delicious, healthy, new treat - you in?!? Sign up on the contact tab for these recipes to come straight to your inbox! I love this little community! I'm sincerely happy you are here! Now, who's ready for some good eats?! Let's go! š°šØš§šŖš„§
If you have a sweet tooth (like my husband - whoa!) - you want to make these!
The key to eating healthfully, I've found, is making your favorite things, just in a clean version!
That way the deprivation/over-indulgence cycle won't rear it's ugly head!
Ingredients:
1/2 of a cooked sweet potato
8 pitted dates
1/2 cup of peanut butter
5 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp hemp seeds
2 tsp apple cider vinegar (trust me!)
3 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup plant milk
dash of salt
*Optional (but worth it!) banana nice cream topping
Blend (separately) 2 frozen bananas, 1 tbsp peanut butter powder, and 1/4 cup plant milk - yum!
Directions:
Soak your dates in a bowl of water for 10 minutes to soften them. Remove the pit from the dates. Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender or food processor. Blend until gooey chocolate batter forms -nomilicious! Scoop out into a baking dish - I use parchment paper for an easy clean up! Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Serve with banana nice-cream! Wowzers, you'll be amazed how delish these are!
Cheers to fall weather and a FUN weekend ahead!
